Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: Kampala – Kibale National Park
You will be picked from your hotel early in the morning by our guide and start the exciting trip to Kibale National Park located in the Western part of Uganda towards Fort Portal via Mubende. In Uganda, Kibale is the most stunning and beautiful forest and also the most easily accessible rain forest. It’s a habitat to 13 remarkable primate species both primates and nocturnal. On arrival you will have lunch at the park then go see stalagmites and stalactites locally known as “Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru” at Nyakasura as well as crater lakes. You will spend the night and have dinner at Ndali lodge/ Primate Lodge/ Fort Motel/ Mountains of the moon.
DAY 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibal National Park
Briefing will be at Kanyaankyu Tourist Center before going out for chimpanzee trekking after breakfast. There’s a great chance to see these chimpanzees than in any other game park though it’s not a guarantee. During the walk, you may view also other primates like Red colobus monkey, the rare L’hoestes monkey, black and white Colobus monkey, red tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked Mangabey and others. After having lunch which is packed, you will be guided through a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary which is rich in flora and fauna and it’s also well known for bird watching. If you so wish you can take an agritourism visit to the tea plantation along the road. Over night and dinner at Primate Lodge/ Ndali lodge/ Mountains of the Moon/ Fort Motel.
DAY 3: Tooro Royal Palace / Return to Kampala
Make a visit to Tooro Palace on top of Kabarole hill after breakfast and proceed to Karambi tombs where all the former kings of Tooro were buried. Return to Kampala and have lunch at Mubende on the way.
