Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your hotel
A tours representative from Wal-Mark Africa Safaris will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Holiday Express Hotel / Siliver springs hotel/ Speke Hotel / Cassia Lodge/ Kampala Sheraton Hotel / Kampala Serena Hotel / Grand Imperial Hotel.
Day 2: Kampala -Jinja City Tour
Go for a city tour around Kampala and later transfer to Jinja. Visit the historical and Cultural sites of Kampala like Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo shrine, Ssezibwa falls and then have lunch along the way to Jinja. At Jinja you will visit the source of the Nile, a boat ride to the source of the Nile is stunning, also visit the Bujagali Falls.
Return to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Holiday Express Hotel / Siliver springs hotel /Speke Hotel / Cassia Lodge/ Kampala Sheraton Hotel / Kampala Serena Hotel / Grand Imperial Hotel.
Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park
Have early morning breakfast, begin the safari at 8:00 Am and drive to the western part of the country four hours to Lake Mburo National park. On the way to Lake Mburo before reaching Masaka there are many attractive sceneries and a look at the Equator. See and admire the crafts on the roadside at Mpambire, make shopping and take photographs as well. Before getting to Masaka have snacks at Road Tooro or at Welcome. Proceed to the park for lunch at Lake Mburo restaurant which is located on the lakeside thus providing scenic views of the lake shores. After lunch, take a game drive in the after noon where you will see the different species of animals Impalas, zebras, elephants, elands and many more.
Dinner and overnight stay at Rwonyo Bandas / Arcadia Cottages/ Mantana Luxury tented camp /Mihingo Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
Have your breakfast and then later transfer to Queen Elizabeth. You will pass through the scenic country side of Ankole. A game drive en route is rewarding with a variety of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, mongoose among others. Have lunch and go for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel. The launch trip will expose you to various aquatic mammals like hippos and reptiles like crocodiles. Retire for dinner and overnight at Ihamba safari lodge/ Simba safari lodge/ Mweya safari lodge/ Jacana lodge / Katara Lodge.
Day 5: Morning game drive with a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Take an early excursion to the Kyambura gorge for the 8:30am Chimpanzee tracking activity. Chimpanzees are man’s closest relationships. Tracking takes 2-3hours but is an exciting activity. Head back for a one hour lunch break at the viewing plat form and then later proceed to Kabale. Dinner and over night at Bushara Island camp/ Bunyonyi Over land camp /Arcadia Cottages. / Habuharo Island camp/Bird nest.
Day 6: Transfer to Rwanda
After breakfast, cross the border then you will be driven to Musanze. Ruhengeri which is also known as Musanze is the pedestal of Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda. Within Musanze town there are small basic hotels like Urumuli. The main attractions in Musanze include; the Volcanoes National Park, Virunga Mountains with their four peaks- Bisoke, Muhabura, Sabinyo and Karisimbi. Karisimbi is the highest peak which can be climbed in two days. An easier climb can be done on Bisoke-one day. Other attractions include; the natural bridge, lakes Burela and Ruhondo. Meals and over night at Kinigi Guest House / Mountain Gorilla Nest Lodge / Mountain gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge / Sabinyo Silver Back lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking Rwanda
Following breakfast is gorilla trekking in Parc National des Volcans. Trekking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience. The walks might be strenuous but an encounter of a family of gorillas is rewarding! Spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for a late lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Meals and overnight stay at your Lodge.
Day 8: Relaxation activities like boat trip, sun bathing on Lake Kivu
Drive to Kibuye at the Eastern shore of L. Kivu, first impressions of Rwanda the Land of a thousand hills. Take a tour on the Lake with exploration of the lake’s Island “Napoleons’ Hat” – a boat trip to Gisenyi at the Northern shore of L. Kivu is rewarding. There after head to your hotel in Kigali. Hotel Mille Des Collines / Chez Lando or Kigali Serena hotel for dinner and over night stay
Day 9: Transfer to Kanombe Airport
Take breakfast and then shop some souvenirs. After lunch you will be transferred to Kanombe airport for your next flight either back to Uganda or to your Home
