Volunteer Activities:
Wal-Mark Africa Safaris mandate is to also contribute to the social cause in the communities we operate for a better generation that is healthy and Eco-friendly. We offer support to some identified needy cause schools and ophanages in Uganda in the districts of Iganga, Jinja, Wakiso and Masaka and through this bonding we have been able to craft voluntary activities with our partners for foreign tourists and organization engagement such as;
Orphanage programs (The orphans range in age from a few hours to two years, with no known parents or relatives. We are dedicated to providing these children with love, security, medical care and education and a Home)
Sports development program (aims to give sports training as well as life skills in schools and communities. Also build play grounds fro children in particular schools in which they volunteer.Volunteers assist local coaches with training or lead their own classes in a variety of sports in schools, local sport centers, and clubs)
Conservation Program (Enjoy planting trees, grass in school compounds, community forests and also engaging in the daily community Agriculture farm lands and help sustain some of the community most inspiring, sought. Share your passion for the environment and outdoors with like-minded people throughout your stay).
Teaching/Educational program (Walmark Africa Safaris offers a wide variety of teaching placements where volunteers can work in nursery, primary as well as secondary school placements depending on the suitability and comfort level)
Construction and Renovation program (Based in rural Uganda communities &, the Construction and Renovation project offers volunteers the special opportunity to work alongside local people to help improve the infrastructure in small rural communities. This project focuses on the construction and renovation of orphanages, clinics, community centers, resident facilities and schools.)
Evangelism program (We have many areas for ministry opportunities like church planting, Leadership Training Development, Children’s Ministries, Women’s Ministries, Prayer for the Sick, Literature Evangelism, participating in the ministry of local churches, teaching Sunday school to youth groups, participating in music fellowship during church services, working to improve conditions in the local community through home construction, environmental health education, house visitations etc).
Medical volunteer program (Medical professionals can volunteer with our local community health centre’s, school clinics and dispensary in our priority health program areas ,HIV/AIDS, adolescent sexual reproductive health, and community health (mitigation of malaria and other diseases), building the capacity of rural communities in their efforts/initiatives towards improvement of sanitation and hygiene among others).
